Travelling party: Couple

This is a gem of a site within the Galloway Forest Park, the only Dark Sky Park in the UK. Spacious hard standing pitches with 16A elec, immaculate toilet/free shower facilities. Free wifi. Tent campers Bothy with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, table & chairs, clothes dryer. Duck pond, dog walking & washing facility. Beautiful remote surroundings where you wake up to bird song and cuckoo. Regular bus service to the nearest town from outside the site & a pub with real ales & home cooked fare 10 mins walk. This area is a cyclist/walker/nature lover's dream. We have been visiting this site for almost 10 years and since Fran & Jen took over 4 years ago they have completely transformed it.

Very warm welcome at reception.

Campsite is divided into gravel areas for caravans and motorhome and a grassy field for tents. This gives the idea of camping out in a park surrounded by parking lots. Also vehicles may not be on the grass, so tent and luggage has to be carried for some distance.

Toilet & shower facilities are excellent.
