We stayed here for a few days to visit Cordoba and the surrounding area. Ecija old town well worth a visit, buildings beautiful. The campsite was excellent good sized pitch and the owner could not have been more helpful.
Planned two nights here in April 2016 but stayed 5. Lovely quiet location. Easy access to Córdoba by local bus. Also other typically Spanish local towns and villages to visit. Wonderfully friendly owners who go out of their way to provide help and advice. Don't miss paella night. Delicious and also really nice to have breakfast provided every morning. Toilet and shower facilities are spotless and plenty of hot water. The site did get busy when a group tour used it but it was still quiet as the were out all day on trips. Some pitches may be a tight squeeze for larger motor homes. We will return when we are next in the area. Thoroughly recommended.
In all our six years of travelling in our motorhome, I don't think we've stayed anywhere nicer than Camping La Campiña.
The setting is tranquil, tucked amongst olive groves and rolling farmland, this is 'real' Spain. Our pitch looked out across olive trees and open countryside with great views all round. The sunrises were beautiful.
At the time we stayed (November) the workers were harvesting olives and welcomed us to take pictures with smiles and waves.
We have a big motorhome but the site accommodated us easily. Water was close to the pitch. Showers and toilets were spotlessly clean.
We stayed in the winter so the pool and restaurant were closed but owners, Matilde and Rik, did open the restaurant one night for us and another British couple for Matilde's delicious paella. Highly recommended and wonderful entertaining hosts.
The site and setting are both exceptional but what makes La Campiña really special is the people. Rik and Matilde cannot do enough for you. They are so friendly, you will feel like you're staying with old friends instead of campsite owners. Both speak perfect English.
Matilde is passionate about the local area and is a knowledgable guide. She kindly took us to a beautiful church at nearby Santaella, a garlic processing factory, olive oil pressing factory and a local bodega which produces a delicious dessert wine.
Rik and Matilde gave us instructions for a bus trip to Córdoba, the bus stop is outside the gates. A visit to Córdoba Cathedral is a must.
The site was recommended to us by a friend and we'll recommend it to our friends. We stayed much longer than we had intended and will return to it again and again.
We stayed for 2 nights in late september on our way home to France.Lovely campsite. Great facilities. Very nice pool to cool off.
Hosts very friendly. Brakfast was a great bonus. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Sanatella is a lovely village.
Hope to go back one day.
Stayed here in late June for only 2 nights, but just sorry it wasn't longer. Matilde & Rik were great hosts very helpful & friendly, had 2 good nights in the campsite bar chatting and putting the world to right with them. The campsite is in a lovely location with great views across olive plantations, a bus which stops right outside the campsite takes you to Cordoba - ideal. We highly recommend this site.
We will definitely be coming back here when in Spain again. Rik & Mathilde couldn't do enough to help. They made sure they spoke to everyone & that everyone was happy. The facilities are absolutely immaculate, showers, toilets & a great swimming pool. We had an outing with Rik who showed us how the land is used around this area of Spain, then the following day we had a trip with Mathilde who took us to an olive oil factory, pottery factory, bodegas & a garlic factory, followed by beer & tapas, 2 other campers came with us & we had a fantastic day. Everybody who was staying in campers, caravans, tents or even their cabins were extremely happy with the service given to them. We would highly recommend this site as a must when travelling around Spain. Fantastic can't wait to come back we originally were stopping 2 nights & ended up 6 before we reluctantly had to leave.
Wonderful location and Matilde was very welcoming. Her very good English meant we could REALLY put the world to rights! Great location for Cordoba and on bus route. We shall return and visit Santaella and other places in the area. She noticed it was my husband's birthday and gave us breakfast in the refurbished farm workers' cottage. Log fire and lovely atmosphere. Can't speak highly enough.
Small. Very quiet and peaceful site. Owners friendly and helpful. Many attractions within the area. Easy drive to Cordoba. Potteries, oil mills and sherry, Montilla, producers all accessible in the area.
Stayed here in June 2012. It is a little gem of a site. Small and quite and bus to Cordoba stops at entrance to site. The outdoor pool is heated and lovely. It is the only site we have stayed on where breakfast is included. A set menu is provided for dinner at 12 Euros or 15 with wine. The owner and her husband and staff were extremely friendly.
Mathiilda provided us with an off road excursion to Santiella and other sites with refreshments included for 10 Euros each (an absolute must do).
