Nice quiet site. Very little shade. Decent cycle routes along canal. Very helpful owner on arrival but turns into Basil Fawlty for the strangest things. Only place I have come across which divides a single omllete in two to serve two people. You also have to ask for sugar when ordering coffee after a meal or owner looses the plot.

Very quiet site in the countryside. Be assured of a good welcome from the owner who helps you find a suitable site for your needs. Toilet blocks are spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Restaurant on site was really good. Loads of info in reception including an extensive paperback library for swaps. Local town of Corbigny is nice with choice of restaurants/shops/bars etc. Campsite is fairly remote other than that but really nice.

Used this little gem as a stopover for 2 nights. The owner is a very genial chap. Toilet facilities though dated are very clean. There is wifi on site for a one off charge of 2.5 euro. The restaurant is reasonably priced and the food is of an exceptional quality. It is surrounded by a river and a canal. The cycle routes are awesome. There is a small marina over the road with a small restaurant bar with reasonable prices. The atmosphere on site is one of complete relaxation and chill. Be warned, make sure you have any supplies you may need, there are no shops in the local villages that I cycled to. Nearest town for supplies is Corbigny. Apart from that excellent little site.

A wonderful little site in beautiful countryside. The owner is friendly and helpful. The facilities were very clean. Pitches are informal rather than laid out in regemented rows and this encourages a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We intended to stay for 2 nights and ended up staying for a week! There are loads of walks and cycling possibilities in the area. The nearby town of Corbigny has a supermarket, loads of little shops and a weekly market. I cannot reccommend this site highly enough. If you want perfect relaxation in a beautiful and relatively unknown corner of France, then Camping de L'Ardanis for you.
