A one night visit en route from Spain to Caen. The site is conveniently reached from the motorway and situated in the midst of vineyards along a quiet country lane. Set amongst the trees the pitches (grass) are spacious and many shaded by trees. The toilet and shower facilities are first class. The proprietor speaks English and was most helpful and pleasant. I would recommend this site for a one night stay and also for longer. The countryside and scenery is very attractive, lots of lanes to explore on foot or on bike. At the time of our visit the restaurant and bar was not open but it looked to be a very pleasant place to enjoy a glass of wine
This is our second visit to this site this year and will certainly not be our last. The owners run this site extremely well but with a very laid back attitude which adds to the enjoyment of the stay. Whenever we find ourselves in this area of France this will definitely be our site of choice.
We spent two nights at this campsite on our way back from Spain in September 2011. The campsite was deserted when we arrived apart from one other unit, but soon after a few others came in for overnight stops. A very peaceful setting ideal for a relaxing break. The goats, the ducks and the dog all came to say hello each day. We left early in the morning about 8.00 so the mosquitoes hadn’t eaten all night and feasted on us.
Although we agree with some of the other comments, we found this site unsuitable for motorhomes, we where told not to fill or empty our water tanks as he had to pay for the water. He said we had to go to the village to do this.
we stayed here 4 nights. What a lovely site and the owners were very friendly. The owners are Dutch and spoke english quite well. The site is surrounded by vineyards which you can walk round the edge. If you get bitten easily I would take some cream, I did'nt and got bit alot. I bought some cream at the chemist which did the trick. WFI is free.
We went in the bar a couple of times, where you can also get a meal.
You can also order your bread and it is dekivered the next day lovely and fresh.
The toilets and showers are clean.
This site is definately value for money and would not hesytate in going back.
We stayed on this site for one night on route home. It is in the middle of huge vineyards which you can walk around the edge of. The owners are Dutch but speak excellent English. We didn't eat there but had a drink in the bar while other people were having their dinner and it all looked delicious and plentiful. Free Wifi with excellent coverage on the site which was a bonus. I got attacked by mosquitoes while we were there but noone else seemed to be having a problem.
A great site but we were not expecting so many Dutch people. We were disappointed not to be speaking French. However, a lovely site with great facilities and surroundings.
