Travelling party: Seniors

We stopped off here intending a one night stay., but quickly re-planned and stayed 3 days, if not on way home would have stayed longer. What we found was the most delightful camp site operated by what must be the friendliest Dutch hosts imaginable. The site is immaculate and very well kept, the toilet / shower block is genuinely the cleanest and best equipped we have come across. The shower cubicles are very spacious with more than enough room for all your belongings to be kept dry, they also have a 4 shower head room for families. Toilets are immaculate and they even have seats! The pitches are spread over 7 hectares and are all well thought out and level, even though the actual site is sloping, 10 amp electric points in easy reach of your pitch with water close by as well. The countryside around is lovely plenty of places to walk both long and short, wildlife is abundant. We sampled the bistro for a half chicken and chips which whilst being excellent value was absolutely delicious.

Brilliant site, although not easy to get to if coming from the south. Pitches are either sort of in the central area and more open, or scattered round the perimeter and really quite secluded with views over open fields. We had an outer pitch and it was like being on your own private site. The entry in the ACSI book does not do it justice in any way. Not much to do in the immediate area apart from walk, but really pleasant countryside and good recreational lake nearby. Great for a few days doing very little.
