Geen fijne ervaring. Ik kwam met mijn campertje voor twee nachten naar camping Thro Do Way omdat zij zich een camping voor rustzoekers noemt. Ik benoemde de wens tot rust nog even ter verduidelijking in een reply van de bevestiging. Eenmaal op mijn aangewezen plek keek ik uit op de vangrail van een autoweg waar auto’s en motoren rijden. Daardoor kreeg ik niet het gevoel te zijn gehoord. Als zij eerlijk hadden gezegd dat er geen rustige plekken meer waren, geen probleem, dan had ik een andere camping gezocht. Als je je camping promoot als stil, verwacht ik geen autoweg. Helaas kreeg ik als antwoord de dooddoener, dat het aan mij ligt. Geen restitutie voor een ongebruikte nacht. Bah, onaardig.

Wij zijn een lang weekend naar deze camping gegaan. De omgeving is fantastisch. Heel jammer dat de eigenaren zo verschrikkelijk onaardig zijn. Het sanitair was klein, met verschrikkelijk vieze wc\'s en lekkende/overstromende urinoirs. We zijn zo snel mogelijk weer ingepakt en vertrokken.

Een teleurstellende ervaring. Het terrein was op zichzelf prachtig, daar lag het niet aan. De eigenaren deden zich vriendelijk voor, maar waren het niet echt. Je werd overspoeld met ge- en verboden, maar als je deze mensen echt nodig had, bleek de receptie \"gesloten\" en werd je de deur gewezen. Een nieuw aangekomen meisje dat dringend toiletpapier nodig heeft.....Dat kan natuurlijk niet. Er moest een deel vooraf- en de rest onmiddellijk bij aankomst betaald worden. Daar komen nog de kosten voor het douchen bij. Dat is veel te veel voor het gebodene, vooral omdat we een kortingskaart hadden. De poetsvrouw deed erg haar best om de boel schoon te houden, maar zorg er dan ook voor dat er bij de ingang roosters en droogloopmatten komen te liggen. Nu is het binnen het halfuur weer modderig. Als je nu werkelijk zo begaan bent met het milieu, sta dan geen kampvuur toe en douche niet langer dan 4 minuten. Echter het belangrijkste is: wees gastvrij en dienstverlenend, dan komen de gasten graag terug.

Het viel niet mee op deze camping. Bij regen staat de tentkampeerder in de modder. Wil je niet in de modder, dan kan je op grind je tent opzetten. Het sanitair is primitief. Wc-papier is er niet. Net zo min als wen redelijke wifi-ontvangst. Wat je wel krijgt zijn groepen die tot zes uur in de ochtend praten en daarna gillen en lachen. Eens. Maar daarna nooit meer naar Trodoway.

We zijn ervaren kampeerders (natuurminnend) en verbleven 3 nachten op de camping met kleine caravan/camper.. Eigenaars zijn klantvriendelijk. De camping wordt omschreven als \'natuur\'camping en \'rustiek\' wat betekent dat het om een \'eenvoudige\' en \'natuurlijke camping moet gaan. Eenvoudig kan ik beamen: sanitair is basic en beperkt volgens standplaatsen. \'Natuurlijk\' daar heb ik het moeilijk mee: ligt pal langs regionale weg met regelmatige passage; afval wordt maar beperkt geselecteerd en er werd \'s avonds \'gezellig\' héél wat hout gestookt (was koud) hetgeen niet bepaald milieuvriendelijk is. Verder was 1 sanitaire blok gesloten omwille van afgesloten watervoorziening (via natuurlijke bron). Warm water aan de lavabo was heel dun traag lopend straaltje. Afvalwater? \'Ach iedereen gebruikt tegenwoordig afbreekbaar product, dus gewoon weggooien\' was het antwoord. Hier had ik toch mijn bedenkingen bij. De enige sanitaire blok aan de receptie bestond uit (voor elk) 1 douche en 2 lavabo\'s. Prijs-kwaliteit vind ik dit niet correct! Los van het riviertje dat er \'gezellig\' doorheen stroomt en een kleine buitenspeelruimte moet men dan ook een eerlijke prijs bieden. Dit heeft ook met klantvriendelijkheid te maken. De 3 sterren zijn er volgens mij maar 2 waard en een naamsverandering of omschrijving zoals \'eenvoudige basiscamping\' eveneens.

Hier moet je van houden, rust in de natuur langs een beekje. Geen tv-ontvangst en ook geen internet of mobiel ontvangst op de plek, alleen bij de receptie. Bleek voor ons een verademing. Echt een geweldige natuurcamping om te onthaasten.

Vriendelijk ontvangst en goede uitleg. Plaatsen zijn netjes en afgebakend. Sanitair is sterk verouderd en te weinig, schoon zijn ze wel. Omgeving vonden wij wat saai en de dorpjes zijn uitgestorven. Riviertje langs de camping ingeeft een leuke sfeer.
