Locals very friendly, the local store/pub really interesting, hosts at the campsite very helpful. If you want to visit the real hungary, this is the place!
We stayed in our caravan on a dinner bed and breakfast basis. We were welcomed at the gate by the owner -Andrew and taken into their breakfast room for an evening meal - even though we arrived late. The caravan was warm and cosy and breakfast good. We returned a few days later for another stay in which we were treated to a Hungarian style stew cooked over an open fire. The weather was amazing for April and again couldn\'t fault the hospitality. The site is still developing and will be beautiful when the grass grows!! I would recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful break, our 12 year old daughter was a bit bored but the free wifi helped keep her entertained. Thank you Andrew and Sharon for a lovely stay
If you are looking for a place away from the crowd of Balaton or Budapest, this is the place to be. Sharon and Andrew will do everything they can to make you fell at home in theur small campsite. The nice spa and swimming pool in Tamasi are 15mn away by car
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this is the place to come. We were warmly welcomed by Andrew & Sharon. My wife had damaged her ankle, so we were unable to take advantage of walking in the surrounding countryside, but were taken by our hosts for a lovely Hungarian meal in the nearby Tamisa and we also spent a day at the thermal spa which was superb.
A delightful small garden site (well it was in 2015) but with grand plans to extend which I understand is undrway. A quiet, out of the way location, but still only 90 minutes from Budapest. Walks in the surrounding area abound. Great hosts who entertain you very well. (Try their Bogracs Guylas - a type of stew cooked in a cauldron over an open fire.) A site that allows you to see Hungary with a different viewpoint.
We were lucky enough to stay at this site in September 2015. We were a group of three motorhomes, passing through Hungary on our way to Croatia. We had heard about this site through a Facebook motorhome Club and decided to visit due to the owners being English. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by Andrew and Sharon. Although we only stayed four nights, they arranged so much for us. We were taken to the local spa where we spent an entire afternoon. They cooked an Hungarian meal for all of us one evening. They took us into town, where we met the local community in the local bar and also arranged a horse and trap ride from the local farmer. The whole village was extremely friendly. We also went for a number of walks around the local area, where we found a beautiful lake. Although a very small site, which I believe has increased in size since we visited, I would thoroughly recommend a visit if you are ever in Hungary. Leveling blocks are essential on some of the pitches. We look forward to returning there, sometime in the future.
Have stayed at this lovely little campsite three times now. The owners Andrew and Sharon are most hospitable. If you are in Hungary and fancy being shown around, then this is the place to go. £5 for entry into the Spa at Tamasi, well worth a visit
